Biography and commentary:

Gregg Bissonette (born in 1959) has become well-known in the "fusion" big band of Maynard Ferguson, with a very versatile playing (rock, jazz, funk, latin, reggae, metal, fusion, pop, etc.) and technical (ghost notes, improvisation, military rudiments, double bass drum , brushes, 4 limbs independence, etc.). Gregg has made a remarkable passage in the legendary progressive rock band Toto and recorded with various electric guitar virtuosos (Frank Gambale, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, David Lee Roth). Gregg had the honor to play at the first concert in tribute to Buddy Rich with nothing less than Louie Bellson and Dennis Chambers in improvised trio (a great moment in the history of the drumset). Gregg is also a pioneer like Dave Weckl of instructional drumset videos and gives master classes worldwide.
